After spending the past year establishing Burbs as an emerging force in the realms of sports, music, and fashion, we have decided to add two more to our list- TV & Film.
From here on out, the self-proclaimed bingewatchers of Burbs Entertainment will regularly update this list with shows and films that YOU should watch. We'll even explain why, too.

Here we will breakdown some of our favorite shows- letting you know all of the good stuff without any of the spoilers.
OZARK
Available On: Netflix
Genre: Crime Drama, Thriller
Starring: Jason Bateman, Laura Linney, Sofia Hublitz
Number of Seasons: 2
In this Netflix original, Jason Bateman stars as Marty Byrde- a seemingly-regular dad, husband, and financial adviser with a dark side. After years of successfully flying under the radar, a near-death money laundering incident leaves Byrde with no choice but to relocate his family from Naperville, Illinois (the origin of Burbs!) to Lake Ozark, Missouri.
Soon after the Byrde's arrive in Lake Ozark, they are met with new challenges and a new breed of criminals. The Byrde's quickly become mixed in with local families such as the Snells, a territorial crime family with fronts, and the Langmores, a family of gritty, small-time criminals headed by sneaky and charismatic Ruth Langmore, played by Julia Garner.
With a third season on the way, "Ozark" is one of the best Netflix originals to date. The cast is excellent together and the writing is next-level; there's not a single boring or lackluster episode. "Ozark" successfully rolls drama, thriller, comedy, and even bits of romance (or lack thereof) into one unique show. It's raw and captivating; "Ozark" will enrapture you even if you have the attention span of a squirrel.

I THINK YOU SHOULD LEAVE WITH TIM ROBINSON

Genre: Sketch Comedy
Starring: Tim Robinson
Number of Seasons: 1
SNL cast member Tim Robinson brings awkwardness and a lot of laughs in this Netflix original sketch show. I'm honestly not sure how to describe this show. I binged it in a night because there are only six 16-minute episodes and let me tell you, I had a time. It's better enjoyed stoned because it makes the ridiculously awkward situations that much more perplexing, as if they weren't brain-bending enough. As the IMDb synopsis states, "In this new sketch show, Tim Robinson and guests spend each segment driving someone to the point of needing - or desperately wanting - to leave." Guests feature Andy Samberg, Will Forte, and Sam Richardson, each fulfilling their job of making you uncomfortable in one way or another. I absolutely love awkward humor and wacky sketches so I obviously enjoyed "I Think You Should Leave". Like any sketch show, not every sketch lands but when they do, they hit. The only way to really understand this show is to watch so if you have a little time on your hands, bust out a few episodes.

WORKAHOLICS

Starring: Adam DeVine, Blake Anderson, Anders Holm

DISCLAIMER: If you're looking for a serious show/take comedy too seriously, keep scrolling.
Despite being raunchy and quite frankly, immature, most of the time, "Workaholics" is a well-written show with a lovable cast and an abundance of memorable quotes.
The show centers around three roommates- Adam, Blake, and Ders. The three met in college and continued to stick together afterwards, getting through the whole "life thing" together with copious amounts of weed, alcohol, and various other substances. The three also somehow manage to hold down 9-5 telemarketing jobs at TelAmeriCorp, a "typical" office with characters as rich as Dunder Mifflin's (granted they're a lot darker than "The Office" characters, though).
If you're a fan of goofy comedies that you can really get into, "Workaholics" is the perfect show for you. The episodes don't necessarily need to be watched in sequential order, similar to a show like "Family Guy", so that's another selling point for commitment-shy viewers or anybody who just wants a quick fix of dumb comedy.
I couldn't find a good trailer, but I figure this might be an even better look at the show

THE 40-YEAR-OLD VIRGIN

Genre: Comedy
Released: 2005
Starring: Steve Carell, Paul Rudd, Seth Rogen
Many of you have probably seen this movie at one point or another, but I still consider it a comedic classic that deserves more praise and recognition than it gets. I also consider it one of the best comedy movies that Netflix has to offer, so that's something.
Steve Carell stars as Andy Stitzer, an innocent and awkward 40-year-old virgin (surprise, surprise) who works in an electronics store. His coworkers at the store, David (Paul Rudd) and Cal (Seth Rogen), one day discover that Andy is still a virgin despite his desperate attempts to convince them otherwise. While they dig into him at first, they eventually resolve to help him lose his v-card and maybe even find love along the way.
The 40-Year-Old Virgin is quite a predictable comedy, but it's also chock full of memorable scenes. The cast is superb, featuring many current big-name stars in the early days of their careers. The film is a little dated considering its been out 14 years, but a little antiquation always makes movies more interesting. If you're looking for a goofy late night comedy with a good ending, look no further.

INGLORIOUS BASTERDS

Starring: Brad Pitt, Melanie Laurent, Christopher Waltz
There is no secret that the past two to three generations of movies has been dominated by the eccentric director who not only doesn't know any boundaries, but refuses to acknowledge their existence: Quentin Tarantino.
Tarantino, the mad genius that he is, had planned on creating this particular film for over 10 years before he finally attacked the opportunity. In short, the film is a unique revenge fantasy, and it is as cathartic as it is gruesome.
Inglorious Basterds features a ridiculous amount of blood, an unbearable amount of tension, a handful of deceiving characters, and more laughs during the 150-minute movie than there were throughout the entirety of WWII.
Other films by Quentin Tarantino that you may be familiar with are: Pulp Fiction, Django Unchained, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Reservoir Dogs, Kill Bill Vol. 1 and 2, and The Hateful Eight.
In the simplest of terms: the film is about two different schemes to kill Adolf Hitler.
One of the two schemes is created by a young Jewish woman named Shoshana whom escaped the grip of Nazi Germany's most evil military member, Hans Landa (portrayed by Christoph Waltz) when he sniffed out her family at a dairy farm in France.
The other scheme is played out by the Basterds themselves, who are led by their brave orchestrator, Lieutenant Aldo Rein (portrayed by Brad Pitt).
This film introduced the world to some of the most talented actors in the world, Christoph Waltz and Michael Fassbender. The former won nearly every award that existed on Planet Earth for his performance as Hans Landa, and if you're not sold on watching the film yet, then check out this YouTube snippet real quick and try to tell me you aren't intrigued.
