Sneaker Peeker Volume II

Sneaker Peeker is back and we got heat on heat on heat for this week. A little behind schedule but that just allows more time to find more heat and even better, more trash. We have sneakers from the "Made in America" show, some on court heat and of course, street wear. Lets get right into it.

Justin Bieber - Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 v2 "Antlia" (Reflective)

JB was seen wandering the streets in Kanye's newest trend: Reflective sneakers. When a picture of these is taken with a flash, the 3M lights up like a fucking Christmas tree. Extremely limited, if you didn't hit on these for retail then you probably should just get the non-reflective. Unless you wanna drop a rack on these, but you do you.

Sue Bird - Nike Dunk SB Low "De La Soul" (2005)

11x WNBA All Star Sue Bird was seen chillin on court in some OG sneaker head heat. Back in '05, dunks were the shoe to have. If you called yourself a sneakerhead, you were a dunk enthusiast. Nike teamed up with alternative rap group De La Soul to collaborate on 3 pairs of dunks (2 Highs, 1 Low). The art on the sneaker is based off "3 Feet High and Rising" which was De La Soul's debut studio album.

Lil Tecca - Supreme x Jordan 5 Retro "Desert Camo"

Lil Tecca says he's not into "hype shit" but it's hard to defend that statement when you're in some Supreme Jordan 5s. He 100% only bought these because they say Supreme on them. If you tell me that you actually fuck with these you're a liar! Jordan just dropped a Camo Jordan 10 on August 31st and they are still on shelves. Even better, they retailed for $190 and you can get them for UNDER RETAIL for around $140. These don't go as hard as you think they do.

LeBron James - John Elliott x LeBron Icon "Tulip Pink"

LeBron and John Elliott are back with another color way of the LeBron Icon and this time its in a girly pink hue. Available in Men's sizes 7-16, your girl probably ain't gonna be able to scoop these unless she's above a size 8. I feel like only certain people can pull these off and LeBron is one of them. Sitting courtside Ice Cube's Big3 Championship in the pink drip? Yeah, I'm about it.

Jaden Smith - New Balance MSXRCHTR "Yellow/Black/White"

Jaden Smith pulled up in a babushka and some clunky ass new balances to his Stance pop-up in LA. As a New Balance ambassador, he's handcuffed into wearing some of these ass kicks, but these fucking Big Bird looking ass are not it. Plus, his rainbow socks, shirt and pants are not doing these shoes anymore justice. But, I can't hate too much because I know New Balance is bringing the bag.

Michael B. Jordan - Sacai x Nike LD Waffle "Green Multi"

MBJ was seen in, what I think has a good chance of winning 'Sneaker of the Year,' the Nike x Sacai LD Waffle. Featuring a breathable translucentish mesh, 2 tongues, 2 swooshes, and 2 sets of laces. A deconstructed and a reconstructed type vibe all in one shoe is such a weird concept on paper yet Sacai really did their thing on these. Jordan really pulled these off with the T-shirt to match.

Clint Frazier - Air Jordan 1 Retro "Metallic Navy" Cleat

Clint Frazier has slowly become the Sneaker, or Cleat in this case, King of the Diamond with his custom cleats. With the help of Anthony Ambrosini, owner of Custom Kicks Inc., Clint has been able to combine his favorite sneakers with his job, being a MLB player. He recently pulled out the the Metallic Jordan 1s for his return to the majors with a match up with the Oakland A's. He 0 for 2 with a walk so not a great come back but at least he looked good doing it.

Okay we got a lot going here. A couple of members of the US Women's National Soccer Team pulled up to the 2019 Global Maxim Awards in some notable kicks. Honestly, Alex and Mallory brought the heat but Megan and Allie kind of disappointed me. I'm even more disappointed in Megan because ever since winning the World Cup she's been rocking neck breakers. Regardless, I went over the Sacai's in the Michael B. Jordan post so yea those are dope. The Icon's I went over that in LeBron's, I personally like this white colorway more but not by much. The Daybreaks Allie is rocking is trash I hate the shape, color, everything there's nothing good about it. BUT, the Satin Black Toes are next level. The Black Toe is already a fire shoe but then you put that premium satin material on the upper and it just hits different.

Offset - OVO x Air Jordan 4 "Splatter" Sample

Offset has been on a tear lately with what he's been rocking. It's basically been a big "fuck you I got the gas." This week he rocked the unreleased Drake x Jordan sample. I have only seen DJ Khaled, PJ Tucker and of course Drake in these. They're basically a Bred 4 but with a splatter painted midsole and backtab. Kind of lazy in my opinion but it's OVO so it must be fire right?

Lil Uzi Vert - Nike Air Yeezy 2 "Solar Red"

If you paid attention last week, you know that Kanye used to be apart of the Nike team. This is the second shoe he created with them and it is pricey. The grooved backing, the premium mesh, snakeskin leather, and of course the glow in the dark outsole gives you a designer feel to a Nike lifestyle shoe. Uzi casually broke these out for his set for the "Made in The America" show. Normally this would be top kick of the week, but somehow we haven't even gotten to that portion yet.

Travis Scott - Eminem x Air Jordan 4 Retro "Encore" (2017)

Yep, you read that right. $16,151. There were only 50 pairs of these made in honor of Eminem dropping his fifth studio album "Encore." Travis nonchalantly posed for a pic in these in front of his private jet because why not? Blue suede with red and black accents are to represent the curtains on the cover art of "Encore." The shoe also has hits of his logo and name on the inside of the backtab, inside of the tongue, and on the insoles. Subtle, but stupid expensive.

P.J. Tucker - Nike Air Yeezy 2 "Cheetah" Sample

I know you haven't seen these before. There have been 3 colors of this Air Yeezy 2 ever made. The Solar Red, Pure Platinum and the Red Octobers. So, what are these? A custom? Nope, they're an unreleased sample. Nicknamed the Cheetah, these were inspired by the Kobe 7 "Cheetah." It was rumored these were created for Kobe to wear on Christmas Day in 2011 against the Sacramento Kings. He didn't wear them and these disappeared. Until, P.J. Tucker broke them out for the Kith Fashion Show in New York and the internet went crazy. Only 3 pairs of these were created and seeing that P.J. and Kobe are both a size 14, many believe this is Kobe's pair. Is there anything P.J. Tucker doesn't have?

Dua Lipa - Prada Pegasus Nylon & Leather Chunky Sneakers "Black"

Prada is back at it again with these ugly ass fucking sneakers. I literally think they're fucking with us. The named this shoe the Pegasus Nylon & Leather Chunky Sneaker. What the fuck? They made the named this shoe like a description. First off, its like 6 inches high, then the midsole has some fucking shoe tire like grooves because these bitches are all-terrain. And it looks like Dua tested that because her shit is dusty ass fuck. Then they got the Prada logo on the back strap because you know, these shits are DESIGNER. They don't speak broke at Prada. $850 off the hip for these. The fucking triceratops toed, bus boy type kicks. God, fuck you Prada.
