SIGNED: Jimmy Butler

After ending his shoe contract with Jordan Brand, Jimmy Butler has been a sneaker free agent. With many questioning where he would land, the day has come. Becoming a prominent face of the NBA, Jimmy Butler has signed a multi-year shoe contract with Chinese apparel company Li-Ning, according to ESPN’s Nick DePaula.

Last year, Butler signed a 4-year extension with Miami Heat for $140.8 million. In the Bubble, Butler started his coffee brand, “Big Face Coffee.” He is partnering with Peloton and Lululemon in his new business venture. After taking his team to Game 6 of the NBA Finals, we can look forward to Butler’s partnership with Li-Ning.

Notably, former Heat legend Dwayne Wade has a lifetime partnership with Li-Ning. C.J. McCollum and D’Angelo Russell also have deals with Li-Ning. Many professional basketball players have recently been showing interest in Chinese brands for shoe and apparel deals as the competition for deals with American brands continues to increase. The NBA fandom and viewership continuously increases in China.

In this contract, Butler will be designing and releasing his own signature shoes. While these sneakers are not yet released, keep an eye out for what’s to come.
