Floridian nine-piece music collective seeyousoon has returned with a new single, "DEPLETED!" and an accompanying music video off their upcoming album, HZLIKHELL.
seeyousoon isn't afraid to take risks in their music, which is evident across "DEPLETED!". The group considers it one of the more experimental songs on the album, calling the track an "attempt to push what we do to the absolute limit." At first, the song might come off a bit jarring, but in the end, that's what makes it great. The track is clearly influenced by a myriad of sounds, from the grungy, techno-infused production to high-speed bar delivery. The group's chemistry once again translates, with each member bringing their unique flow and delivery to the song.
seeyousoon's visual counterparts are frequently impressive, and that remains true with "DEPLETED!". The video is only two-and-a-half minutes long but somehow feels shorter. The video's production quality is high, and much like the track, it experiments with transitions and effects, making it that much more engaging. A lot is going on between the song and video, but it's good chaos — the fun kind.
