Floridian collective seeyousoon has released HZLIKEHELL, the group’s second album. The nine-piece collective has had an impressive roll-out for the album, with singles "DEPLETED!" and "FIX YOUR FACE" leaving a lasting impression.
HZLIKEHELL builds on the singles to create a twelve-track album that dips in hip-hop, electronic, dance, and punk. In only 33 minutes, seeyousoon crafts a sonic experience that consistently balances near-constant sound changes — and does so well.
"MAGIC," the album's feature track, makes sense as HZLIKEHELL's representative song. It encapsulates what makes seeyousoon the ultra-energetic group that they are, especially with the accompanying video in the fold. The group, who are currently on a nationwide tour with 99 Neighbors, are seen performing for riled-up crowds, proving that seeyousoon's energy translates — and that they're quickly compiling an enthusiastic fanbase.
HZLIKEHELL is another step in the right direction for seeyousoon, who continues to garner national attention — T-Pain has called them his "favorite group out." The group has chemistry that you can not teach, and I'm excited to see what the future has in store.
