First Impressions
All Pro Quarterbacks pick up where they left off: Aaron Rodgers and Russell Wilson toss 4 touchdowns each while Lamar Jackson and Patrick Mahomes look like they are in MVP form.
Kyler Murray to DeAndre Hopkins is straight cash homie. Yeah I used Randy Moss to emphasize, because Hopkins could not be guarded all day even by All-Pro CB Richard Sherman, as he accumulated 14 receptions for 151 yards.
The Pittsburgh Steelers Defense will cause nightmares all season long if they can avoid injuries. T.J Watt and Bud Dupree were a handful for the New York Giants offensive line.
A few underrated performances
Minshew mania!!! Honestly there was no way I thought the Jacksonville Jaguars would win Week 1, but when Gardner Minshew went 19-20 with 173 yards and 3 touchdowns, that changed. Unreal performance even for Uncle Rico.
Mitchell Trubisky, yeah I know. Absent for the first 3 quarters of the game, he exploded for 3 touchdowns in the 4th quarter and led the Chicago Bears to an improbable comeback. I still don’t believe it, but nobody seems to be giving him the attention.
Finally, the Washington Football Team Defense. We all know how beat up the Philadelphia Eagles offensive line is, but 8 sacks and 3 takeaways don’t just pop up out of thin air. Fantastic and unexpected performance by them in Week 1.
Winner of Week 1: Thee Seattle Seahawks. They had a flawless performance winning 38-25 over the Atlanta Falcons on the road, and showed not one single weakness.
Loser of Week 1: The New York Jets can’t seem to do anything right. Sam Darnold is still living out his college success, while Adam Gase attempts to coach. Also, Le'veon Bell is hurt with a hamstring injury, so yeah, go Jets?
