We are now a quarter of the way through the exciting 2020 NFL season, and I'm breaking down my predictions for the award-winners through a fourth of the season.
MVP: Russell Wilson – QB, Seattle Seahawks
Stats through Week 4:
Completions: 103
Attempts: 137
Yards: 1,285
Touchdowns: 16
Interceptions: 2
If you have watched any Seattle Seahawks games this year, you must have witnessed Russell Wilson dominating opposing defenses. He has been on an unreal tear to start the season, averaging four touchdowns per game. Other than the stats, he has lifted the Seahawks to a perfect 4-0 record while playing perfect football.
Offensive Player of the Year: Alvin Kamara – RB, New Orleans Saints
Stats through Week 4:
Yards per carry: 4.7
Rushing Yards: 236
Rushing Touchdowns: 4
Yards Per Reception: 10.7
Receiving Yards: 321
Receiving Touchdowns: 3
Amidst Drew Brees’ struggles this year, the New Orleans Saints offense has been explosive without their best weapon, WR Michael Thomas. The answer for why they are amazing is their bellcow Alvin Kamara—the best fantasy football player thus far this season, and definitely the most valuable offensive player of the 2020 season so far.
Defensive Player of the Year: T.J Watt - OLB, Pittsburgh Steelers
Stats through Week 4:
Tackles: 9
Sacks: 3.5
Interceptions: 1
Quarterback Hits: 12
The Pittsburgh Steelers defense has been amazing through their three games, and largely because of their leader T.J Watt. With these stats, keep in mind that he has only played three games in the four weeks because of their Week 4 game being postponed. He constantly causes pressure every play, and opposing quarterbacks have nightmares about him.
Offensive Rookie of the Year: Joe Burrow - QB, Cincinnati Bengals

Attempts: 177
Yards: 1,121
Touchdowns: 6
Interceptions: 2
The Cincinnati Bengals roster was probably the worst on paper to start the season, but Joe Burrow has played very well for a rookie. His stats definitely do not show everything, as there are many other things I have noticed about Burrow. His poise in the pocket is already similar to top veterans such as Tom Brady. He makes smart plays with his legs, and he protects the ball when a play breaks down. If it weren’t for a missed field goal, and a dropped interception, the Bengals would be 3-1. Don’t sleep on Burrow!
Defensive Rookie of the Year: Patrick Queen - LB, Baltimore Ravens
Stats through Week 4:
Tackles: 33
Tackles for loss: 5
Sacks: 1
Turnover worthy plays: 2
On a top defense, it is usually rare for a rookie to stand out, but not for Patrick Queen. Queen has been a force for the Ravens, flying all across the field. He’s an early favorite for Defensive Rookie of the Year, and he is living up to the hype.
Coach of the Year: Sean McDermott - Buffalo Bills
Out of all the undefeated teams, the Buffalo Bills are the biggest surprise. One of the best offenses in the league with the emergence of QB Josh Allen matched by a top defense makes for an unbelievable team. McDermott has done an amazing job, winning each of their ball games to boast a 4-0 record and first place in the AFC East.
