#538 Baby 2 by YoungBoy Never Broke Again

Trap favorite YoungBoy Never Broke Again has released his second full-length project of 2020, following up February’s Still Flexin, Still Steppin. It is also the sequel to 2016’s 38 Baby.

This time around, YoungBoy tapped DaBaby and his mother Sherhonda Gaulden as features. Producers such as Dubba, Take a Daytrip, Yung Lan, Noah Mejia, and more helped craft the sound of this 17-track album.

38 Baby 2 is arugably YoungBoy’s most polished project to-date.

#4 - “Righteous” by Juice WRLD

Juice WRLD’s estate dropped his first posthumous release, a beautiful single entitled “Righteous”.

Produced by his right-hand man Nick Mira, the ethereal guitar melody makes this single one of Juice’s most touching. Although the Chicago star was known for his transparency, “Righteous” takes you on a deeper dive into his headspace than usual.

Rest in Peace Jarad Higgins.

#2 - “THE SCOTTS” by Travis Scott and Kid Cudi

One of rap's most dominant duos, master Kid Cudi and student Travis Scott made a splash out of nowhere with a new single - the title playing on both of their names.

“THE SCOTTS” is produced by Mike Dean, Dot Da Genius, Plain Pat, and Take a Daytrip; according to Hip Hop By The Numbers, 62% of the song is comprised of instrumental. Another interesting tidbit? Cudi “out-adlibs” Travis on this one, with 41 ad-libs and 12 hums.

This track marks the official start of their duo – THE SCOTTS. Prior to this single, Cudi and Travis have collaborated four times. Thankfully, we’ll get even more from them soon.

#1 - “Why Worry” by Isaiah Rashad

As part of TDE’s Fan Appreciation Week, enigmatic genius Isaiah Rashad gave us his first solo release since 2016.

“Why Worry” shows that Isaiah is just as wavy as he was when he left off, if not more. Produced by typical TDE collaborator Crooklin, the song is supported by a soulful sample tailored to showcase Isaiah’s sauce.

With large amounts of speculation circling his forthcoming album The House is Burning, it is likely we will hear more from Isaiah in the near future. Keep up with Burbs for updates!
