At a time where the world is in absolute madness, music remains one of the few constants. Last week in music was massive, with releases from Lil Uzi Vert, Don Toliver, Jay Electronica, Jack Harlow, Rich the Kid, Blueface, Lil Yachty, Wiz Khalifa, YNW Melly, and more.

#5 - Heaven or Hell by Don Toliver
Cactus Jack standout Don Toliver splashed onto the scene in 2018, but became the star of the show this year with his debut studio album.
Heaven or Hell is a well-rounded effort; Toliver recounts that he wanted to show duality on his debut. The album features Travis, of course, in addition to Sheck Wes, Quavo, Offset, and Kaash Paige. Production is handled by the likes of Mike Dean, Sonny Digital, TM88, Wondagurl, Frank Dukes, and CuBeatz.
At 12 tracks, Heaven or Hell falls short at times, but shows potential for the Houston prodigy.

#4 - “Oprah’s Bank Account” by Lil Yachty & DaBaby
A three-headed-snake was assembled on this new heater - Yachty and DaBaby’s first track together.
Produced by Earl on the Beat, this track is a catchy single off Yachty’s forthcoming Lil Boat 3. “Oprah’s Bank Account” came together through unforeseen circumstances - the track was originally meant to feature Lizzo before DaBaby heard the song in the studio and hopped on it. When Drake later heard a snippet, he asked Yachty to send it through. The rest is history.
This track will definitely be in rotation for summer 2020 - get in tune now.

#3 - Sweet Action by Jack Harlow
Louisville’s rising star is back with a seven-track offering to satisfy his fast-growing fanbase.
In only 17 minutes, Harlow unloaded an arsenal of new flows and styles. As usual, he made sure to show his range across the project with party-ready bangers, smooth songs about his romantic life, and quotable hits. His beat selection is more trap-centric than ever, with production from jetsonmade, Pooh Beatz, Jenius, CuBeatz, and Harlow’s right-hand 2forwOyNE.
Harlow also released the project for his Friday the 13th birthday, so happy birthday to the young legend.

#2 - Eternal Atake (Deluxe) - LUV vs. The World 2 by Lil Uzi Vert
Riding off the momentum of Eternal Atake’s success, Uzi added fuel to the fire with 14 new tracks featuring an all-star squad of trap icons.
Highlight tracks from the deluxe are “Bean (Kobe)” (ft. Chief Keef), “Wassup” (ft. Future), “Strawberry Peels” (ft. Young Thug & Gunna), “Moon Relate”, “Myron”, and “No Auto” (ft. Lil Durk). Other features came from Young Nudy and NAV, with production from usual suspects Pi’erre Bourne, Wheezy, Supah Mario, Oogie Mane, Danny Wolf, and Don Cannon.

#1 - A Written Testimony by Jay Electronica
At 43 years of age with decades of experience under his belt, legendary wordsmith Jay Electronica finally released his debut studio album.
Premiered through Tidal and released through Roc Nation, JAY-Z was heavily involved with the album and appeared on many tracks. According to Hip Hop By The Numbers, JAY-Z rapped on 35% of A Written Testimony. The album also featured Travis Scott and The-Dream and received production from Jay Elec, Hit-Boy, Swizz Beatz, The Alchemist, and No I.D.
