Last week, BFB Da Packman and Zack Fox put a final exclamation point on their collaborative song, “Bob and Weave,” by releasing an extraordinarily weird accompanying music video.
In the ninth edition of Last Week in Music, Marty Gross — co-host of 'The Spins' music podcast — discusses the eye-enthralling music video.
Favorite verse?
Ya know, I really enjoyed the four-square bouncebacks between Zack Fox and BFB Da Packman, but I don’t know if Zack Fox’s closing verse could ever be topped. Slowly but surely, I am beginning to think that Zack Fox could be the best comedic rapper in the game right now. This verse is a gold mine of bars, and each bar is as uproarious as the next. Whether he’s talking about having sexual relations with Rihanna in his LL Bean, or about how his chains literally make his nipples poke out his T-shirt, you know the laughing tears will come streaming out after you hear his verse.
Favorite bar?
I know I mentioned it before, but, “I could probably fuck Rihanna in the LL Bean,” has to be it. No further questions, your honor. (But if you really wanted me to throw in a second one, I would say BFB’s line, “My brother stole my laptop, he back to smoking meth again”).
Favorite scene?
This question is simply unfair. This music video has so many illustrious scenes that it would be a disservice to not name a few. Even though I could create a Watchmojo list of great scenes, I'll limit it to a quick two-punch. The first scene that made me cry laughing was when BFB says, “My uncle mistreated me, the n**** smokin’ crack now,” and as he utters those oddly satirical lines, his ass crack is just hanging out for the whole family to see. I don’t know if I’m just feeble-minded or something, but if I see a particularly large man with his ass hanging out, I’m bound to laugh.
Secondly — and even more grotesque — is when BFB closes his godly verse with, “If Lizzo sold her coochie juice, I would buy a swiggle,” while Zack Fox gargles a seltzer and bird feeds it back into the camera... I don’t even know if I should explain why I like this, so I'll end this answer abruptly.
