badnews - redveil

'badnews' is the lead single for redveil's new album niagara coming on August 25th. redveil is a 16-year-old artist from Prince George's County who has been making a lot of noise over the past year. His age is no indication of how his music sounds, as his tracks often sound more polished than a lot of artists much older. What the future holds for redveil and his career is something I would without hesitation put money on as he is easily one of the most promising artists out right now. With such a unique sound, thought-provoking lyrics, and excellent production, redveil is only going up from here.

Clocking in at only 2 minutes and 5 seconds, 'badnews' is a great way to lead in what I'm assuming will be an incredible project by redveil. The laidback-but-bouncy flow fits perfectly over a beautiful soul-filled sample. The percussion is catchy and creates an infectious groove for the song, while not being overpowering and taking away from any of redveil's bars.

In the song, redveil discusses navigating through his life, talking about his wins, but also having to recognize the real issues that are currently happening in the world we live in today. Although, he does feel that with the path he is on now, he can't lose. While there are ups and downs he will have to deal with on his journey, directly or indirectly, redveil knows he will do him and make it work
