"All About" is a fun and catchy song by Brian Hunt and we sat down with him quickly to get a better understanding on how the track came together.
Hunter: Was there a reason behind the change of pace for this song and compared to the rest of your music? Is this something we can expect more of in the future?
Brian: Absolutely. I decided a year or two ago that I wanted to be making more energetic and bouncy music than I had made most of high school. I used to kind of be anti-auto-tune and more focused on being lyrical, but as my mixing and singing voice got better I've become more comfortable with the sound I have today, and it's honestly more fun for me. I think I started to realize that I liked making music that made people wanna move.
These new songs I got coming don't all sound the same, though. I actually think the variety is gonna have some people mind-fucked.
Hunter: How did the instrumental come together?
Brian: I wish I had a cool story for this but I really just found the beat on YouTube. 808iden was just someone I found doing what I usually do, which is spend hours a day listening to beats to find something I fuck with.
I'm starting to gravitate away from YouTube a little bit just for originality and cost reasons, but I'm still comfortable using them for now. I'm starting to have producers send me shit on their own, and I'm looking forward to developing more relationships with them in the future.
Shoutout to 808iden though, he's 15 and just got that placement on the new DaBaby album. He's got a bright future for sure.
Hunter: Tell us a little more about what the song is about.
Brian: The song's kinda about buckling down, getting your shit together, and how a girl is more interested now because of it. I used to have a lot of fun at college and live pretty wild and out of control. In the verse I say:
"but I don't take molly no more
done with the pillies for sure
i want the millis for sure"
I've realized I don't have time for that shit if I want to accomplish what I want.
I still have my fun, I just do it more responsibly and I'm tied down now.
Shoutout to my girl.
Hunter: How did you come up the catchy chorus and name for the song?
Brian: I always try to keep my song writing process fresh and a little different each time so it stays interesting to me. Sometimes I like to punch in and sometimes I write it out before. Sometimes it's a combination of both. This one I wrote out completely before I recorded.
I was just vibing with the beat and started humming a melody and I put words to it soon after. The chorus came pretty easy for this one, it just felt right.

Hunter: Tell us something interesting about the creation of the song
Brian: I actually made it at my friends house over the summer that I was staying at for a couple months. He's been my best friend since I was 12 and he's always supported me doing this, even when no one else did, so it was cool for him to see me do my thing.
I was also really nervous. Pretty much all of my songs were recorded in the privacy of my own home. I'm not used to having other people in the room. I was being way too quiet during my first couple takes but I eventually got my voice where it needed to be.
Hunter: What’s next for Brian Hunt in 2020?
Brian: New singles every month. I got some real fucking hits in the vault. This song was a baseline and it's just the beginning.
